Our January outing was “repeated” in a sense at the Rondebosch Golf Club on 13 April as the earlier one did not feature any nearest the pins, and there was a gap in the calendar before the two May outings.
And the weather was kind to us all. Andrew Bearne won the event with 40 points counted in from Matthew Duddy who also tallied 40 points. Fortunately for Andrew there is no penalty for this victory as there was no trophy involved. Brad Ball and Wayne Maggott were one point behind on 39 points.
At this event we welcomed the following new members, Fabian Fredericks, Karl Engledoe, Gavin Lomberg, Diyaan Brinkhuis, Zayd Suleiman and Owen Rhoda.
As you have been advised through our social media platforms, we have instituted a strict pre-payment plan for green fees. All golf clubs now require payment in advance and we can honour this if we stick to the “rules”.

- 24 players ( of which we already have the full complement confirmed ) – so everyone who is representing the club please take your vitamins and no pulled muscles, etc as the names have been forwarded to Langebaan. Only one excuse will be acceptable!
