What marvellous weather for our outing at the Strand Golf Club on the 16th March, not a breath of wind. Total contrast to last year’s outing where one could hardly stand let alone play golf!
Taking full advantage of the conditions, Kevin Jaques recorded 40 points, off his 15 handicap, in his round to win the E V Dichmont Trophy. Second was Searle Fortune on 38 points off his 27 handicap and joint third on 37 points were Nathier Fortune (9) and Jan-Hugo Roothman (31).
And we welcomed two new members after their third outing, in Sidwell Robinson and Jordan Gilham-Law.
NEXT OUTING : RONDEBOSCH GC
Following the non-placement of nearest the pins and nearest the pin in 2 for our January outing , we are repeating an outing at Rondebosch on the 13 April 2025. This time though a morning tee off!
GREEN FEES
Once again green fees of R400 into the club’s account timeously, and I must emphasise “timeously” as clubs require the financial confirmation a few days before the actual outing.
